Founder/


Jeffrey Cobb, the founder and president of Care Bear Foundation, brings a wealth of personal experience and expertise to his role. As an adoptee who has navigated the challenges of the foster care system and group homes, Jeffrey intimately understands the impact of childhood trauma and the importance of mental health support.


Currently incarcerated and fighting for his freedom, Jeffrey has channeled his experiences into a passion for helping others. He has conducted extensive research on brain function and developed the Step-Up by Force program, which focuses on holistic mental health approaches for individuals, including those who are incarcerated, to rehabilitate their mental well-being.


Drawing from his own journey, Jeffrey recognizes the urgent need for comprehensive support and resources for individuals who have been impacted by the criminal justice system. He founded the Care Bear Foundation with the vision of creating a more compassionate and rehabilitative approach to justice, one that prioritizes healing, growth, and second chances.


Despite the challenges of his current circumstances, Jeffrey remains steadfast in his commitment to advocating for change. From behind prison walls, he continues to lead the Care Bear Foundation, inspiring others with his resilience, determination, and unwavering belief in the power of redemption. Through his work, Jeffrey is not only fighting for his own freedom but also for the dignity and well-being of countless others who have been impacted by systemic inequities.

Co-Founder/ Executive Director



Cierra Cobb, the Executive Director and Paralegal of Care Bear Foundation is a passionate advocate and a survivor of domestic violence. She plays a crucial role in running the organization's daily operations and advocating for its mission. With a paralegal certificate from Western Carolina University, Cierra is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Southern New Hampshire University, with the goal of becoming an attorney.


Driven by her personal experiences and a deep commitment to social justice, Cierra has dedicated the past three years to working in the non-profit sector, directly serving the incarcerated population. Her firsthand understanding of the challenges faced by survivors of domestic violence, coupled with her experience advocating for the rights of incarcerated individuals, fuels her determination to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those impacted by the criminal justice system.


As a leader of the Care Bear Foundation, Cierra brings a unique blend of legal knowledge, advocacy skills, and personal resilience to her work. She is committed to amplifying the voices of those who have been marginalized and fighting for a more just and compassionate society. Through her tireless efforts, Cierra is helping to build a powerful movement for change and inspiring others to join the struggle for justice and dignity for all.



TREASURER/ Assistant Director



 


Clint McCain, serving as the Treasurer and Assistant Director of Care Bear Foundation, brings a unique blend of education, professional experience, and personal insight to his role. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from NC A&T University, which has provided him with a strong foundation in financial management and organizational leadership.


During his early adulthood, Clint had a life-altering experience when he found himself incarcerated in jail. This challenging period exposed him to the harsh realities faced by those who become entangled in the criminal justice system. Witnessing the struggles and inequities endured by his fellow inmates ignited a passion within Clint to advocate for change and to support those who have been impacted by incarceration.


Upon his release, Clint committed himself to using his skills and knowledge to make a positive difference in his community. He has held various managerial positions, demonstrating strong leadership abilities and a talent for effective communication and problem-solving. These experiences have prepared him well for his role at Care Bear Foundation, where he oversees financial operations and assists in directing the organization's initiatives.


Clint's time in jail has given him a profound understanding of the challenges faced by individuals who have been impacted by the criminal justice system. He brings a sense of empathy and a fierce commitment to advocating for the rights and well-being of those who have been marginalized. Through his work at Care Bear Foundation, Clint is dedicated to creating opportunities for individuals to rebuild their lives and to promoting a more compassionate and rehabilitative approach to justice.
