Make a Difference as a Peer Support Volunteer
Are you passionate about supporting others on their journey of recovery and empowerment? The Care Bear Foundation is seeking dedicated volunteers to provide peer support to individuals and families impacted by incarceration.
As a Peer Support Volunteer, you will have the opportunity to:
- Share your own experiences to offer hope, guidance, and encouragement
- Connect people to vital resources to help them navigate challenges
- Advocate for the rights of those impacted by the criminal justice system
- Build meaningful relationships and be a source of strength for others
- Gain valuable skills and experience that can translate to career opportunities
We are looking for volunteers who:
- Have lived experience with incarceration, either personally or through a loved one
- Are committed to social justice and passionate about making a difference
- Are empathetic, non-judgmental listeners
- Can dedicate 4-6 hours per month to providing peer support
As a volunteer-driven organization, we deeply value the time and heart that our volunteers contribute. You will receive comprehensive training to equip you for this rewarding role, as well as ongoing support from our staff.
