Our Story

Starting small with a shared vision, we've grown into something big.

 

The Care Bear Foundation, founded by Jeffrey Cobb, who is currently incarcerated, along with individuals who have also experienced incarceration, is dedicated to advocating for fair treatment of incarcerated individuals and their families. We recognize the challenges incarceration imposes not only on the individual but also on loved ones, and our mission is to support families in navigating the unique hardships that arise.

We advocate for the rights and mental health of those within the prison system, ensuring their voices are heard. By providing resources and guidance, we empower families to actively advocate for their loved ones both pre-trial and during incarceration. We also champion the release of juveniles under the new juvenile law, aiming for a shift from punishment to rehabilitation and successful reintegration. Together, we strive to create a compassionate community that brings hope to families facing the realities of incarceration.

 We envision a justice system rooted in compassion and rehabilitation, where families are supported and empowered, and where individuals—regardless of age—are given fair opportunities to thrive upon reentry. By fostering understanding, resilience, and hope, we aim to create a world in which incarceration no longer brings isolation and injustice but rather provides a path to renewal and reintegration.
